Big discounts on the XF for the holidays

Just in time for the holidays, Jaguar has announced that in an effort to clear out inventory before the end of the year, that there will be some huge savings to be found. If you head over to sites like Autotrader, there are some listings showing upwards of $16k off the starting MSRP. If you were on the fence before, this could be enough to swing the XF in your favor. https://jalopnik.com/just-in-time-fo...ive-1830943673

These incentives do bring the XF much more in line with the cost of key rivals. Even with these discounts however, its still more than an F-Pace, which is really killing its odds of success. Why they would price the Sportbrake at $71k and the F Pace S at $59k is beyond me.

I agree that the XF's pricing is way off base and its the leading reason why Jag hasn't seen much in terms of sales. If they ever want the adoptions rates to increase they are going to have to bring more in line with the E-Class and V90.

Sadly its going to be slow sailing while Jaguar prepares to launch new models, the XF being one of them. Current XF is aging fast and just acts as a placeholder till the big refresh.

I think if they can fix the comfort of the seats, recalibrate the transmission and provide a more inspired exhaust note, that they would be well on their way to making it a stronger candidate for next year. It looks the part of a Jag but it doesn't have all the creature comforts.
